Mission Statement

In the world class environment of the Catholic faith, the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Academy is a community which serves students from various backgrounds. Our goal is to prepare them to become productive citizens by nourishing their spiritual growth, developing academic and personal excellence through inquiry, and teaching reliance on God and their inner strengths.

Core Content and Specials:
- All instruction in each subject taught are aligned to implements the Archdiocese of Washington Standards called “Content Standards”.
- This includes Religion instruction in all grade levels.
- Assessments are aligned to Standards so that teachers are able to determine students’ progress in content areas.
- Core Courses at St. Francis Xavier are as follows: Religion, Mathematics, English/Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
- Other required courses are Physical Education, Music, Spanish, and Art.
